Youth conventions turn into red carpet events and lock-ins extravagant after parties. Us girls need to show off our gucci someplace! But then you spot her, across the room there's someone that exists in this planet that is thinner, taller, prettier. You start hearing "that girl has the most gorgeous outfit". "how does she do that with her hair". "its impossible to have skin that clear" then all of a sudden your queen bee mentality fades into a thousand little voices that all point back to the possibility that your not the most attractive girl after all. Everyone is falling all over themselves for this other person. Well guess what? There is only one YOU in this world and though you have heard that 'God made you special and he loves you very much' bit countless times. I have news for you! The only real stand you have in your life is what you become of yourself. Other than the fact that God has complete control over what journeys we are to face in this lifetime, you can make up your mind to be the best that you can be. The keyword is 'can'. There are leaders and followers in this world and we have the joy of being both! We are modern day followers of Jesus and we can be leaders in whatever task we face everyday. Believe it or not your attitude when you wake up each morning sets the tone for your day. Just remember that your a daughter of the most high God, the KING of all KINGS!! Because when it comes down to what really matters our testimonies are of the uttermost importance and what is inside shines through whatever your wearing on the outside. So let's all make sure we start a work deep inside our hearts to be (everyday) the best that we can possibly be!
